In the two videos posted to the social media platform, Tsway explains the whole process, from selecting and purchasing his Hermes leather material to sewing the final product together. He worked on the project for 60 days and slept at his parents and his brother’s house. Ultimately, he completed his Hermes masterpiece one month late for his girlfriend’s anniversary.
The result is spectacular, and he’s received much love from the online community for his DIY Hermes project. Tsway says he wanted to show his girlfriend MJ that he loved her and was willing to take the time, energy, and care to surprise her with such a thoughtful gift.
And he was right to do so – MJ loved the finished product and was thoroughly impressed and happy with it. While he admits he doesn’t know if she would prefer the fake or the real thing, he’s thrilled she’s happy with it anyway. It’s a beautiful, touching story of romance and craftsmanship. And it’s a lesson in how much Hermes is more than just a fancy handbag.
